This was the first build I ever played when I got this game. And I think it's been the most fun I've had since. This build has really set the tone for all my builds just because of the sheer power and synegy it has. And I just realized I haven't liked it since I've joined the blog lol. Honestly my favorite build.

One of my favorites, is the Steel Plated Armor really necessary or is it just for roleplay?

Hey guys, just wondering why nobody uses The Steed Stone with this build. It makes all the steel plated armor in your inventory weigh nothing which means you can carry as many sets as you like. All enchanted for specific situations. Want to be a destruction mage for the next battle? Swap in that armor. Almost dead? Put on full resistances+fortify restoration and tank it out. Feel like chilling in the background, in come the minion summoning.

It allows you to be a fully armored beast that adapts to any situation with plenty of carry weight (talking to you skyrim packrats) and movement speed to kite in and out of combat styles. This also fits in perfectly with the whole sorcerer feel and heavy reliance on enchanting. It means that your not 'done' after you get your first set of gear. Also the inability to summon atronach's if you go spell absorption always felt awkward. This way you can swap in defensive gear whenever pressed, making spell absorption less needed later on in the game.

It is a bit squishier early on since you don't get the protection from lord or atronach so you might want to make your first gear with atleast some restoration/resistances mixed in. Rolling a race like breton can also help out.

Oh and name your gear smartly lol. I messed that up and gave it all kinds of fancy names like 'Betty SAVE ME' (fire resistance armor) and 'Oeps you got burned' etc.. Made my inventory ehm rather confusing.

One of the two builds that inspired me to join the blog. Can't believe I haven't liked it yet! It goes without saying, but this is an incredible build. I'm gonna have to start a new play through when I'm done play testing my current build.

This is my very first magic-like build, and I don't know, I'm probably doing things wrong :-/

Level 5 at the moment, doing some of the college of Winterhold quests, and when facing enemy spell casters I get in trouble fast.

But like I said, I suck playing the game hehe, but the open world fun is what keeps me playing. Dunno if I can get this character to work though :-/

    LOL!

Most characters suck at level 5 mate! Come back at level 25 if you're still having trouble!

I'd leave the college quests alone until you've developed some skills (level 15ish at least) just do some normal questing/roaming and fill up those soul gems to boost enchanting...
