I killed every living thing on Czarnia fer fun.  I killed Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny an' things that don't even exist, an' so help me, I tried ta follow th' triple-fold path o'peace.  I tried my best... but frag me for a bastich, even I got limits.              -Lobo

    Lobo wearing a Pip-Boy?

"These Vault-Tec guys, they think they've got the upper hand "selling" me a vault?  Jokes on them bub.  It's not China dropping the bombs; I fascilitated that myself.  Just like I killed off my entire species; 'The Institute' paid me to wipe out mankind.  Since I can't be killed, this seemed like a reasonable  option.  The "popsicle stand" was something I hadn't considered so imagine my state of mind after 210 years when I thawed out.  Oh, didn't they know that I can breathe in outer space, so cutting off the oxygen supply to the freezers wouldn't affect me?  Guess they get to learn that one the HARD way."

Move Perception to 5 with the Concord bobblehead.  Charisma and Luck are stat dumps when you get extra levels.  *Improve these as noted below for settlement building if you wish to do that.

I put a lot of thought into how to structure Lobo.  As a comic character even he goes beyond the extreme as he is portrayed as strong as Superman, immortal like Thor, banned from Heaven and Hell and able to breathe in outer space.  The list is basically endless and there was not enough points to boost EVERYTHING...so this is where I settled in my portrayal of The Ultimate Bastich.  The one thing I didn't see a way to replicate was his "Ripper" chain which is one of his primary weapons in the comics.  It is a disemboweler weapon so I look to Bloody Mess to pump up the evisceration along those lines.  In looking at some of the comics and reviewing some things online he is a master of martial arts (melee, hand to hand); weaponry (pistols and rifles) and is considered highly intelligent in all acts of destruction and violence.  One thing I noticed in many pictures of him with weaponry (outside his hooked chain) is that he was wielding fully automatic weapons so that will be the crux of his weaponry.

    STRENGTH: Strong Back: 2 (4)
While noted to be as strong as Superman in early comics, later writers dialed that back to merely superhuman so we take enough points to get Strong Back.  Take at least 2 points early on and consider going up to 4 points for the Fast Travel ability to reflect this ability.  Consider points in Armorer if you find yourself lacking in defense from found armor.  Steady Aim would be a consideration to further limit recoil in targeting which is always nice with fully auto bang-bang.

PERCEPTION: Locksmith (2); Demo Expert (4).  Locksmith is pretty much needed to gain ammo and using fully automatic weapons will chew through the rounds.  Lobo was an expert with demolitions so we boost that skill up for bonus damage from grenades.  Plan to use them liberally!

ENDURANCE: Toughness (5); Lifegiver (3); Chem Resistant (2); Aquaboy (1); Rad Resistant (1/4); Adamantium Skeleton (3); Ghoulish (0/4).  This was to reflect his immortality, basically.  Toughness gives extra health, Aquaboy reflects his ability to breathe in a vacuum.  Lifegiver adds heath and a self-regeneration mode as Lobo was famous for being able to regenerate from a single blood cell.  Adamantium Skeleton (no it's not Wolverine!) reduces damage taken, again showing his immortality.  The last points to put into are Rad Resistant and Ghoulish just to enhance his healing ability with those perks.  Note I put one point into Rad Resist in the build but then have the option to go all four with dump points later in the build.  Chem resist comes into play and we'll discuss that in the Gameplay section.

CHARISMA: Lone Wanderer (3) is the primary perk here.  However also take Party Boy (0/3); Wasteland Whisperer (0/2); Intimidation (0/2).  We take this perk for the damage reduction and the carry weight increase; both of which feed into his powers.  You will want to use Charisma as a dump stat later in the game.  Wasteland Whisperer and Intimidation just reflect Lobos manic ability to scare the hell out of people.  This would be good for roleplaying him but not needed.  *Also, if you want to get into settlement building in your playthrough look to Local Leader for that.

INTELLIGENCE: Medic (4).  With his regeneration ability, Medic allows extra healing...quickly, again to mimic his immortality.  As noted above, if you want to do settlement stuff, look to Scrapper and you'll need to dump a few points in this skill.

AGILITY: Commando (5).  This was a strange one.  One of his comic skills was a high agility but the powers they gave him all fall under other categories in Fallout.  So this is low but we need those points elsewhere to attain his powers.  You may wish to bump this some later to beef up VATs if you want to use that.  I limited the use of VATs in my playthrough, mainly on smaller creatures that were hard to target manually.

LUCK: Scrounger (2/3); Bloody Mess (4).  Scrounger helps with ammo finds.  If you are struggling with ammo counts then up this to 3 points.  Bloody Mess helps with "evisceration" to tie in with his hooked chain weapon used to disembowel enemies.  Again, if you have points and just want to dial him up then add points and take Idiot Savant (1) for a little XP bonus (it's won't be huge as our INT will be midrange (4-5) but every little bit helps.  Also look for more crits with Better Crits, Crit Banker and the Ricochet perk would be a neat twist to help him get through his foes unscathed.  These would be the last perks I'd go after and you'd have to get to a pretty serious level to attain them.

In all appearances, Lobo is in a leather sleeveless jacket, jeans and leg armor with chains on his arms.  I went with Leather and Raider gear to mimic this early on.  For the jacket we want to get the Atom Cat's jacket when you can attain it.  It should be upgraded with ballistic weave (via the Railroad) for some substantial defense.  I decided to go with Synth or Robot armor for the "white" coloration against the black jacket to most closely mimic Lobo's comic appearance.

For weapons we are all in on fully automatic weapons.  This was a submachine gun in some cases.  In others, it was taking a semi-automatic weapon and converting it to full bang-bang with the appropriate mod.  You will also want to work on modding your weapons with reduced recoil for your hip-fire weapons.  Muzzle brakes may be a good investment as well.  Suppressors are for daisy sniffers!  Make sure to pick up every grenade and blow up device that you can.

The first thing....Lobo is an addict and in serious need of a 12-step program.  In the comics it's alcohol he is consumed with but I think chems fit the bill better in FO4.  As for what chems to consume...don't limit yourself.  Consume every single chem you find!  We're taking the Chem Resistant perk to wipe this out as an immortal super guy won't be adversely affected by his partying...  But make sure you are "under the influence" of something at all times for roleplaying.  Oh, and collect cigars.  Too bad he can't actually smoke them.  Also, this is a comic book character so he is probably not Shawn's Dad...although he has probably fathered his share of kids at some point in time.  So get through the wishy-washy beginning and then wipe that slate clean and delve into Lobo's psyche.

Now that we've covered that...Take lockpicking first (one point) to access early safes in Concord and start gathering much needed ammo.  We are looking for automatic rifles (or modding to them) as early as possible but go with semi-automatics until you find an automatic (or can mod to one).  I held off on perks in Commando until I actually got an automatic weapon (level 3); opting for lockpicking and then Scrounger with my first two perks to start building my ammo reserves.

You can stealth in to open combat but we're putting NO POINTS into this ability so there will be no hiding.  Make sure you've got at least one weapon with strong hip shooting ability for when things get nitty gritty.   I also decided against Power Armor even though that would reflect his strength but it could be used as an optional play style.

In the comics, Lobo is an intergalactic bounty hunter.  He lives by one single rule... Once he takes a job he finishes it no matter what.  However, if he happens to get a counter offer for the same job for more money then he can still complete the "adjusted job" and still meet his own cloudy moral standard.  I view him as being angry with the Institute for the popsicle episode as a breach of his contract to nuke the world but if someone makes him a better deal...well, that would be ok too.  This keeps all the other factions open for you in your playthrough.  The main quest would be more of a "hired gun" to rescue the kid as part of a job and it ties in with his wanting revenge on The Institute.

A tip for using automatic weapons, if you haven't played with them before: work on your "touch".  A quick hit of the trigger will send off a multi-round burst instead of an entire clip.  Also, start your aim off low, this allows more bullets to track onto the target as the muzzle of the weapon climbs.  You may not have to do this as much as you get recoil under control with mods or perks.  Also, get in the habit of swapping out your clip for a full magazine after each fight, or anytime you get a moment to spare.

As Lobo is a master of warfare we perk up Commando to enhance automatic rifle damage.  We also will make liberal use of grenades and all things that go BOOM! with this playthrough.  If you have the Workshops dlc, build some machines to build up ammo and grenades of various sorts (can also be made at the Chemist bench).  Demo expert gives you the "target arch" for pinpoint accuracy with grenades to tie in with his expertise, not to mention enhanced damage to boot.

Entering combat, pop some time duration food for healing during combat.  This simulates the healing/immortality ability and will give you a reason to cook up early and often.  Choose to snipe from range or go in guns blazing with grenades flying...whatever floats your boat.  While Lobo IS immortal...this is Fallout and you are not (quite) so take a few precautions during combat to ensure survival.

Also, while not required if you want to "Lobo-ize" the build a little more, the Big Man loves to ride his hog and with a new mod on Nexus for PC you can do just that.  Click the link for the Driveable Motorcycle Mod and you, as The Main Man, can be tooling around the Wasteland on your very own scoot and shoot.

Now this is a f#cking maniac!!! I love it! I know you said he's more of a loner, but if you were to pick companions for him, Cait and Gage would be perfect! Now, onto some photoshopping. Congratulations on being the first participant to post! What publisher do you want on the comic book?

Ayyyyyeeeee starting off the event with a BOOM there John! Look amazing, and I'm with Motty, I'd love to see a screenshot! Especially if there were any facial customizations you found that made him look like the Comic Book Lobo. All around fantastic work

    Congrats on being first John

I'm not familiar with the character, but this looks like a well thought out and somewhat manic build.

Now, I need to get started with posting ;)

Man, there was no makeup or anything I could do to get him to actually look that cool.  I didn't look for mods or anything for that though.
