Thanks Noodles! I actually haven't seen the remake. Or the original, for that matter. I've just been sitting on a number of Fallout 4 builds and haven't gotten around to posting them yet. :P

I don't know if there's any guaranteed .44 spawns (well, I do now thanks to Wu); the majority of the ammo I got was through merchants. Like I said though, there's no reason why you can't keep a Pipe Revolver as a backup weapon and save your .44 ammo for when you really need it.

The Fallout 3 Lawbringer perk would be great for this build! shame they havent got anything like it in this game.. this build would have bags of fingers everywhere.

Yeah, that's actually where I got the name of the build from.

    Awesome stuff Al!

A couple things as I'm in the midst of a pistols only playthrough. In addition to the one next to red rocket, You can get a few rounds (maybe 10) of .44 ammo from level 1 at Hardware town next to Diamond city (in the upstairs part). Around level 14 is when they show up in vendors...except for Tinker Tom. He had over 40 the first time I got there (around level 8 or 9). Also - here's the .44 Wiki list for others.

I really like how this build is setup for sort of all-or-nothign with little protection, but OP Vats skills. My one question is how hard was it in the awkward stage when you weren't all jacked up on criticals and AP refill to not die a lot?

Thanks Motty! It actually wasn't that bad since I was wearing actual armor at those stages; by the time I got to Nuka-World and grabbed the Cowboy Hat and Duster I was confident enough in my VATS skills to ditch the armor. Aside from that, with high Perception, Agility, and Luck right out of the gate it's not like my VATS game was terrible to begin with, plus I hoarded plenty of food, drinks, stimpacks, and other healing items.

I have a difficult time putting so many points into perception when crits are autohit. With all that luck I think id just get enough perseption to lob some molotovs and spread the rest for survibality.

Sorry I missed your reponse earlier; I actually have a mod that lets you hide it on command.

I thought about doing that, but decided against it for a couple of reasons. From early to midgame, most of your hits won't be criticials so you need the points in Perception to hits stuff in VATS and build up your critical meter. Lategame there's a couple of perks that you need high Perception in order to get. Also, this build doesn't perk Demolition Expert anyway.
