A Few Quick Questions Regarding Skyrim and this Group

How will this group handle Skyrim when TES 6 eventually releases? Will Skyrim still be its separate thing or will it become a classic in terms of this group? How will Skyrim builds be handled between this group and Skyrim character building? I know we have a long time to wait but I don't have anything better to do than wonder if there are any plans regarding Skyrim and this group for when TES 6 finally does come out.

I can't speak for Caesar, Lee or Bones (or Vargr and any future hosts of the two groups) but I can say that it's not really feasible to combine the groups. Just moving over the content would be near impossible, if not completely impossible just because it would involve copying and pasting content, and with a large portion of people already moving on (and not being able to copy and paste their stuff). So, it's more of a matter of feasability, combined with the fact that there's no real need to combine them you know.

We're probably looking at 2022/23 for that.
That's why we should have (had) some more serious talk about what the site is going to do in the meantime.

Overall, it would probably be the Admin's call as to what to do, but I doubt that the Skyrim groups will ever be merged with Classics. Like Dragonborn said, having to merge all content from the other groups is just too infeasible.

As for my personal thoughts, the way I see it, this Site was founded for Skyrim, and even after ES:VI is released, it'll still be the main attraction (Though obviously that may change once VI starts getting more popular, which may only happen months after it's release). HOWEVER, one thing that I have been partial to in the past is bringing Classics content to the other groups, and sort of making it more of a general Elder Scrolls site, rather than just Skyrim.

But like I said, it's going to be a while until we get a new game, so for now I think everything's good as-is.

Technically ESO also has it's own group as well and Skyrim still isn't in Classics, I'd say it's gonna sit where it is for a while. Besides, Skyrim was what started this site in the first place, I was one of the people who were lurking when this was still called the Skyrim Blog on Ning (didn't make an account until the "Tamriel Vault" days though), I highly doubt the roots of this site will just be tossed into this group.
