There are many Armour types in all TES Games but which one was your favourite, or,  go to, Armour for your Characters? did you have a particular favourite, did you craft your own? buy it?, steal it, or did you have that special secret place where you knew quality Armour could be found.

Now is the time to divulge your secrets let us know in the comments below, not only what you did about Armour but why.

I've always been a fan of Medium Armour in Morrowind. I know it doesn't have the biggest selection, nor is it the strongest, but what I really like about it is the balance between Weight, AR, and movement speed. I've always found Heavy to be a bit too, well, heavy (and slow), and Light Armour is usually a bit too squishy early on.

I don't really have a special place to get Armour. Usually, when starting a new Character, I just head straight to Balmora on the Silt Strider, then use the money Caius gives me to buy some gear from Meldor. By about level 5 or so, I normally have a mismatched set of Bonemold and Chain, which I keep until I start to find Orcish pieces.

As for Shields, I've never really been fond of them. In Skyrim and Oblivion I mostly just use my sword to block, and blocking in Morrowind is just painful, the way it randomly decides which attacks to stop.

Yes, another Medium Armour fan, light Armour early days? well you might as well wear clothes, a mix of Bonemold and chain is a great pick for AR add to that the ability to sneak and snipe and you are on to a winner, I remember beating the crap out of Nels and claiming his Armour I wore it for a long time.

After joining one of the "Houses" I had to train all sorts of different skills to advance in that particular House, My best place for Armour? solve the Ordinators quest for a magnificent Armour set although it's not possible to wear it within the confines of Vivec.

Yeah, that problem with Ordinator gear is a bit of a pain. It would have been a good set, if it didn't turn them all into enemies.

I really wish Bethesda had added more Medium Armour to the game. The Expansions added a few more, but it's still not quite as much as the other Armours, and by late game it's pretty much surpased by Heavy, and even Light. The Ebony Mail's still great, though.

In TES IV I remember being quite taken with mithril armour. Also liked the Amber armour from SI dlc. In TES III I liked the Nordic Trollbone sets :)

That said, I have always liked the Imperial armours in the classics. Oblivion's guard's were nails hard, and the palace guards and captains of the IC had some shiny shit going on, while Morrowind had that awesome Knight Templar getup.

I actually ran a character in full guard armour from Oblivion, it was pretty tough stuff just like the guards themselves, "stop right there criminal scum" even if I took something by accident that used to frighten the bloody life out of me lol

I actually really love how Chitin and Netch armor sets look, especially the helmets and cuirasses - but it's such a shame they get "outclassed" so quickly. Wish I could run around forever in Chitin/Netch armor but sometimes you gotta just equip something more durable if you wanna survive :p

As for the rest of the armors: my go-to look is pretty much Light armor/medium armor + skirt, because I find that it looks really good.

In Oblivion I always looked forward to getting the Amber armour in Shivering Isles, it just looked so frickin sweet. I mean I always liked the glass armors (except for the weird helmet) so I guess you could say Amber was like the upgrade to it. I always opted for light armor since most of my playthroughs involved using acrobatics (Oh how I miss backflips...) and bows so staying light on my feet was always essential
