    Morrowind is a truly great game, but unfortunately, many consider it outdated compared to some of today's games. With this list of my favorite Morrowind Mods, I aim to show how modding can make Morrowind a much greater experience.

    Graphics

    Better Bodies - Gives Morrowind's admittedly hideous, chunky bodies a brand new high resolution texture.

    Better Heads - Better Heads improves Morrowind's heads to better suit Better Bodies.

    Morrowind Graphics Extender - Greatly improves Morrowind's graphical capabilities to a more Oblivion-like level, and allows for increased view distance.

    Factions and Quests

    A Strange Plant - Brings the Nirnroot to Morrowind, complete with a new quest related to the plant.

    Adanumuran Reclaimed - Allows you to take over the cave of Adanumuran and turn it into your own smuggling den.

    Nevena's Twin Lamps & Slave Hunters - This mod fleshes out the Twin Lamps faction, adding dozens of quests, NPCs, and new items.

    Rise of House Telvanni - This mod adds more quests for the Telvanni Archmagister, including political decisions, new Strongholds, and reclaiming ancient Telvanni artifacts.

    Welcome to the Arena - Ever wish Vivec's Arena could be more like Oblivion's? Then wish no more! This mod allows you to fight and bet on matches in Vivec's Arena.

    Gameplay

    Accurate Attack - Getting tired of swinging your sword 50 times while a swarm of Cliff Racers attack, hitting nothing but air? This mod changes that. Now whenever you click the attack button, you'll actually hit whatever's fighting you.

    Alternate CharGen - Do you hate having to go through the long Character Creation process? Then this is for you! This great mod allows you to start off in one of the following towns, instead of the usual Prison Ship: Ald-ruhn, Balmora, Gnisis, Sadith Mora, or Vivec. It also allows you to chose a Race before a Name, truly genius.

    Better Mining - You now need to have a Miner's Pick in your inventory in order to mine ore. Much more realistic.

    Boats - This great mod allows you to travel on Morrowind's boats in real time. Seeing the views, passing other boats, and even allows you to get off at any point along the way.

    Buy a House and Tribunal Buy a House - Allows you to purchase a House in Ald-ruhn, Balmora, Sadith Mora, Vivec, and Mounhold. Perfect for storing loot

    IndyBank - This mod allows you to deposit and withdraw gold at various new Banks located across Vvardenfell, and even allows you to earn interest depending on the amount of gold deposited.

    Less Generic NPCs - This massive mod aims to add unique dialogue and personalities to all the many NPCs of Morrowind.

    Morrowind Comes Alive - This large mod adds dozens of new generic NPCs to Morrowind's settlements, making them feel much more lively.

    Rats Galore - Adds different coloured Rats to Morrowind, including Grey, Tan, and White.

    Real Signposts - Ever wish Morrowinds signposts would actually show the name of the place they pointed to, instead of just squiggly gibberish? Then this mod is for you!

    New Lands

    Tel Meskoa and Tel Matouigius - This mod adds two new islands to the far northeast of Vvardenfell, complete with new towns, quests, and enemies.

    Tel Nechim - Adds the small matriarchal island of Tel Nechim to southeast Vvardenfell, complete with a series of new quests.

    Wyrmhaven - One of my personal favorites, this mod adds the magnificent island of Wyrmhaven to the far west of Morrowind. The island includes the Breton town of Wyrmhaven, a full new questline, and a large new island to explore.

    Armour, Clothing and Weapons

    Better Clothes - Improves Morrowind's Clothes to work better with the Better Bodies mod.

    Morrowind Armour Overhaul - This excellent mod completes the Dragonscale, Imperial Silver, and Morag Tong Armour Sets, adds the Armour from the LaFemme official plug-in, and modifies the stats of Morrowind's Armour.

    OAAB Armour Preview - Adds two new sets of Armour to a vendor in Ald-ruhn. Also includes new Bonemold Helmets, and pauldrons with on-the-back accessories.

    Telvanni Cephalopod Armour - Completes the Telvanni Cephalopod Armour by adding the Boots, Cuirass, Greaves, Gauntlets, and Pauldrons.

    ~~~ ~~~ ~~~
    That concludes my list of favorite mods. I hope this inspires some of you to give this truly excellent game a try, despite it's old age. Feel free to comment on them below, or recommend some of your own.
    Ha, sorry, Ceasar, this completely went under my radar with those big discussions going on.
    I´m glad to see some Morrowind Mod List here finally, I know I had hard times putting together mine, and then I had to reinstal my PC. So this looks really great and should be helpful to anyone playing Morrowind.
    Though do you have any quests mods? Just wondering.
    Thanks, Karver. Don't worry, I was a bit busy with those discussions, too.
    I think I do have one or two quest mods, I'll go through my mods again and see what I can find then add them to the list.
    Great! I think those might interest people too.
    It's cool to see a list of Morrowind mods! I really don't know any of the popular mods, I just have a few installed.
    A few that I use are:
    Fair Magicka Regen
    Fatigue and Magicka (Not sure about the actual name, that's just the .esp name)
    Natural Healing
    More Barter Gold
    Nevena's Twin Lamps and Slave Hunters - Haven't actually played the questlines, though it seems really cool.
    Teleporter Ring . . . can you tell I played Skyrim first? :P
    I've read about Nevena's Twin Lamps before, think I might give it try later today.
    I've been wanting to try LGNPC for a while now, but just never get around to it. Definitely on my list of things to do this week.
    Updated to include Nevena's Twin Lamps and LGNPC.
