Nintendo Direct happened roughly 5 hours before I've made this thread, which unfortunetly was 2AM and after waking up insanely early (for me) two days in a row to grab the other E3 Conferences i just couldn't be awake for that. But, never fear, for I, Dragonborn2121 shall be covering it with reactions now. Well in like a minute but that's not the point.

    Big News So Far:

    • Not strictly Nintendo Direct (I think), but Pokemon Sword and Shield has confirmed cute Lightning Doggo. That is all
    • Breath of the Wild Sequel Confirmed, no release date or any real information was given, but it's been confirmed.
    • Banjo and Kazooie in Smash.

    Other E3 Conferences:

    Smash Ultimate News:

    • Eh, some guy from Dragon Quest confirmed for Smash. He's got a sword, shield, fireballs, looks like a lot of normal attacks to be honest (whirlwind is his downwards special). Also that was a blue onion...not sure what that's about.
    • Also some sort of pirate fella...or maybe there are multiple Dragon Quest protagonists? Not entirely sure how that works. Okay yeah I think it's just unique skins for them. Wait no, they seem to be using different skills, but I guess they had multiple options in Wii U Smash. Yeah, I think the character is just Dragon Quest Hero fella.
    • Coming Summer 2019. Guess it's the first DLC
    • BANJO AND KAZOOIE...hah, that was awesome. They tried to fake us out by pretending it was the Duck Hunt character but it wasn't. It just makes me want an actual Banjo and Kazooie game though, but they are bloody hilarious looking already. Fall 2019 for them as a single character.

    Dragon Quest...News? Maybe not

    • Dragon Quest guy riding a green onion. Seems like Time Travel might be a huge part of whatever game this is, okay it's Echoes of an Elusive Age (which was revealed yesterday at Square Enix...or just had a trailer there first, not relaly sure). A part of the selling point is that you get to view previous Dragon Quest Games.
    • September 27th 2019 release date...not sure if that's news

    Luigi's Mansion 3 News

    • The game seems to be set in a massive hotel rather than...you know, a mansion that Luigi owns, which seems to defeat the point. It'd be like, I don't know, Donkey Kong 64 being a Gamecube exclusive or something. Legend of Zelda barely involving a character...wait shit no that one does happen pretty often.
    • Possibility of multiple characters being playable? Not sure, again would defeat the point but play excellently into the fan-theory that Mario hates Luigi and treats him like absolute shit.
    • You can now slam ghosts into the ground and attach plungers to things with the gun (totally not really). Mostly seems to be focused on attaching to items and breaking them, or some ghosts have shields which you can disarm them of using the plunger.
    • Burst is also a new thing, which basically seems like his recovery move in some of the older Smash games. It's basically just a widespread attack that damages everything around you while shooting you up (Meaning it's also a good dodge)
    • Gooigi...is, eh, a slime version of Luigi that you can switch between (or play co-op with) who can only do certain things like walking over spikes or getting past certain doors. Has a weakness to water so the idea is that you need to switch between them to do puzzles.
    • ScareScraper Mode is a... co-op/solo gameplay that you need to complete before time runs out. Looks like a lot of toad-saving for the most part. I'm just waiting for the Waluigi showcase (I mean, he is supposed to be Luigi's villain so...) Okay, confirmed that there won't be other characters, they're just all trapped together.
    • Available sometime 2019.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance...game news?

    • Something about...an ogre. Okay maybe it isn't a Netflix Show. Look I've got no clue, pretty certain that I saw the netflix label at one point. Right so what it is, is a Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, Tactics game coming out in 2019. It's a lot like any other top-down turn based strategy game from the looks of it, just...you know based off of The Dark Crystal of all things.
    • Very strange, Netflix is parterning with someone to make it for the Switch, because I guess they're the ones doing the movie?

Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening News

    • Dramatic music. Clouds. Mountain. Yep it's official, it could be literally any game ever. Wait Link? It's some sort of top-down Legend of Zelda game? Might be a remaster (better be a fucking remaster). Which involves a lot of fighting, fishing, movement and all the normal Legend of Zelda things. Oh it's just a trailer for Link's Awakening, thank goodness.
    •  It seems like it has some sort of dungeon creator mode. Not sure how it works, whether it's like Mario Maker or completely in-game with the dungeon rooms being droppable items that you then collect in order to create the dungeons and explore them for items that make the game easier (consumables and whatnot) but looks cool

    Misc News

    • Trials of Mana getting a 2020 global release, with the original three games (which are super old it looks like, the first in is even colourless) available today on the Nintendo E-Shop.
    • Witcher 3 for Switch! Coming out sometime in 2019.
    • DUDE HAD A SWORD-WHIP!!! Fire Emblem: Three Houses looks pretty damn fascinating. Looks like the idea of the game is that a bunch of students were in class together but seems like they might be on different sides of the war? Not entirely sure at the moment, but that's what it looks like. Honestly looks like it'd be a much better Anime than a Game. July 16, 2019 release date for that one.
    • Resident Evil (possibly the first one) coming to Switch. Wait no, I think there are two more coming. Resident Evil 5 and 6, so I guess some are already available on the console.
    • Some sort of mecha game that, I think involves an American dude. References to Star Wars, 4th of July. Travis Touchdown in No More Heroes 3. Look, never heard of it, got no idea what the concept is but it's bloody weird looking. Coming 2020.
    • Some sort of Zombie game. Wait, not Aliens, Bug dude, Mecha Panda. Look I'm lost on this one as well, all that's important is that you kill a buch of aliens (that look like Zombies) with guns and shit. The series is Contra: Rogue Corps coming September 24th. Also looks likea  bunch of the older games is coming to the eShop. Maybe all of them in a single collection.
    • Daemon (X?) Machina looks like a pretty cool mecha game. Looks sorta cool, very standard though. Could be a fun game, coming out September 13th, 2019.
    • Some sort of dragon flying game (not Spyro). Lots of 'shooting' involved while you fly so it might be a more of an auto-flying shooter. Panzer Dragon I think is the name, hard font to read.
    • You can use the Pokeball+ from Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee for some things in Sword and Shield. You can't actually use it to play the game like the Let's Go series but you can use it to uh, bring your Pokemon around with you in real life.
    • Okay, so a sort of interesting looking game where you fight 'Chimeras' by linking with something called a 'Legion'. Basically fighting giant monsters with a giant monster. Voice Actors remind me of someone, but I don't know who they are without seeing their names. Astral Chain is the name of the game, coming August 30th this year and it looks pretty cool.
    • Some sort of Casino based game. Looks like a 4-players top-down shooter. Empire of Sin coming Spring 2020. Really not sure about anything else.
    • Okay, so the Marvel Game. Uh, Ultimate Alliance 3 I believe. Lots of character, no real information for it other than the expansion pass will include X-Men, Fantastic 4, Marvel Knights and something else. Don't think there was a real date for it.
    • Some sort of...confusing game. I think it's actually music based (Cadence of Hyrule) where you have to fight with the beat.
    • Okay, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games...again. I think it's supposed to be a bit of a crossover with the 2020 Tokyo Games.
    • Some sort of deserted island game. Might be eh, Animal Crossing I think. Lots of foraging for items, fishing, crafting, etc. OH shit, using a shovel to jump over rivers is obviously realistic as fuck so this game is winning so far. Looks like it might be pretty co-op enabled. Yeah Animal Crossing: New Horizens. There wasn't any real news for it to be honest, unless you count collecting taxes as news.  Not going to be released until March 20th, 2020.
    • Bunch of misc games being announced, mostly I think ones that are already out but coming to the Switch this year. Things like Blades, Doom, Ni no Kuni, Spyro, etc. Could be a few indie games in there as well, but nothing insanely new like Witcher 3 mentioned earlier. Alien Isolation could be an interesting one to play on the Switch. Now they're just getting into a few new releases that we already knew about.

    Final News

    • GLOWY GREEN VINES!!! TORCHES!!! Hoh shit it's Link and what's her face riding some sort of Elephant thing. Oh that's actually sorta terrifying for a LoZ game, the main villain seems to be a corpse/demon looking thing which is fascinating. Not sure what the concept of the game is but it's 1000% the sequel to Breath of the Wild and is no in development.
    • Zelda has cut her hair short it seems. Which is obviously very important information.
    • Link is there, but I kind of want to play as Zelda in this one, could make it a lot more interesting.
    • Very little news, but who cares, glad it's announced.

I'm not going to provide trailers for this, at least not individual ones because there were too many and none of them provided a lot of information on the games. I still recommend watching the Direct, or possibly hunting down the individual trailers but I'd need to find dozens of trailers, with a lot of them only being 30 seconds - a minute long.

Anyway, it was an interesting Direct. Nothing groundbreaking other than the Breath of the Wild sequel which does already look fascinating. Other then that, it's honestly mostly DLC for games rather than anything new, or tiny pieces of news for games we already knew about. Nothing massive like a Metroid game was announced.
