Where Should Bethesda Set Their Next Big RPG?

I was talking to my friend the last day about Bethesda's RPG's and what type of setting they would go for if they decided to make another with a new IP. We came to the conclusion that it would be pretty great if they really expanded Dishonored and turned it in to their third tentpole RPG along with Fallout and Elder Scrolls. Yes I know Dishonored is an Arkane game but it's owned by Beth.

So would you like to see Dishonored as the third tentpole RPG for a Steampunk\Post-Apoc\Fantasy combo or do you have other ideas for a Bethesda RPG setting?

If only  Erik and ICE don't want to give the licences away to anybody, that's why they are trying to get the movie made independently.

I have very little interest in Dishonored, myself. Visuals and theme are cool, but I'd much prefer just to have Fallout and Elder Scrolls as the only RPGs occupying their attention. Plus, I think it's important for them to have a variety of gameplay options under their umbrella. Replacing Dishonored as it's known with another RPG would kinda water it down, I think.

I'd love a game set in the "Underground" of a modern city, something along the lines of Vampire: The Masquerade and its World of Darkness setting.

Well Dishonored is already an RPG, just not the same kind as ES or FO.

Wow, that's a surprise. I don't think that any of us knew you liked KOTOR.

Something more futuristic like KOTOR would be nice. Never played it before though . Or maybe they can make a game with more cyberpunk setting like shadowrun.

I would love to see a sprawling RPG set in Malifaux (Lovecraftian Horror/Wild West/Steampunk)

We need some space fantasy to go with our regular fantasy.

    We need TES... IN SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!

Oh god. If the 9E stuff is ever made into a game, I will die a little inside.

Just imagine it guys, cyborgs, but, what if the Towers and Dreamsleeve stuff was confirmed in the next game?

    Almost. It ALMOST happened.

Prey 2 would've been a fantastic world to build on, but then Bethesda quietly smothered it with a pillow under cover of night. I mean, just look at this!

Prey 2 would have been an incredible proving ground for new systems.

Well Prey is an FPS, it's not all that similar to Elder Scrolls or Fallout.

    That's the best part, IMO.

I'd really hate to see KotOR games made by anyone other than Bioware unless there was no other option.

I agree. Not really into Dishonored either, and I would prefer that Fallout and Elder Scrolls would be their only worries just so each series can achieve their full potential within every title.

All jokes aside I would actually love this no end. I still maintain Landfall needs to be the setting for the eventual Summerset Islands game.

Nah, just the Return of the Dwarves... in Aether-run starships
