Hello everyone, my characters always been burn the books and get the old orc mad, but recently I have read the lusty argonian maid and I was like... Damn books aren't that bad then I started to read more. So anyways the point of this discussion is do you know any good books like olaf and the dragon, or the lusty argonian maid :D

The exodus is great if you don't mind depressing ends to story. All of "the real barenziah" volumes are great... But one has dunmer x khajiit hanky panky... If you don't want to read that, just a heads up...

I always find the true "lore" books the best. I mean the ones like "Varieties of Daedra" and "Racial Phylogeny". You know, things that are nonfiction within the TES universe, as opposed to fictional books like "The Lusty Argonian Maid".

That being said, my favorite book in Skyrim is probably "Alduin is Real" just for the sheer humor of it all.

I would love to get my hands on those kinds of books--full versions of them, mind you.

This gives me an idea, Kyrielle. Is there a section of the Lore group specifically devoted to the books in Skyrim? As a writer and more importantly a lover of stories in general, I would love to help make a compilation of all the books, maybe with summaries of each one. I doubt we could get away with posting the full text of them (copyright stuff, probably) but I'm sure a link to the text on UESP or something would be fine.

Let me know if you think this is a cool idea, and if I could help with it. Who knows, maybe I'll devote some of my time to reading all of the books in Skyrim several times, and try to be able to be more knowledgeable about them.

Vix once did a sort of book review for those sorts of things.  I believe it was his "Compendium" and "Spotlight" series.

So, yes, there is a place for those things.  For the moment, tag them as "Lore: Spotlight/Compendium".  I realize now I need to create a section for that, so I'll try to get that done in this week.

Cool. If you need any help, let me know. I know you're pretty much alone hosting that section, and the Story Corner is pretty slow, and I have 2 others who actually help me.

Nah, I'll be good.  It mostly involves Photoshopping the header, adding it to the directory, then linking the tag filter to the image.  Won't take long.

I know Kynareth did a marvelous job of tagging everything she could find in the first place, so all the relevant bits should appear automatically.

    Sweet.

Hey I just went to your page to send you a friend request, and I finally noticed what your profile avatar was - a landscape.

I'm not exactly sure what I thought it was before. It's a cool pic, though.
