Norse bands I wish made the circuits of the inns in Skyrim

Have I mentioned how disappointed I am by "The Age of Aggression?"  The Nords have got nothing on the Norse, and I wish Bethesda had tried a little harder in that regard.

Here's just a couple of norse bands I wish made the circuits of the inns in Skyrim: Garmarna, Hendningarna, Gjallarhorn

Here are a couple of youtube videos with lyrics in English and Swedish.

And then this band is Finnish, which is the Earthly version of the Dunmer.

    And here's their official websites.

Gjallarhorn's website was down due to hackers when I posted this.

What?  OK, let me try to rephrase.  The bands I listed are real bands from Sweden, Norway and Finnland.  What I am saying is that with this rich of a living culture in Scandinavia, why couldn't Bethesda come up with any better music for the inns of Skyrim than "The Age of Aggression?"

It would have been really cool, but it I guess they felt it didn't fit into Bethesda's lore of Skyrim?

Sure.  I'm sure that they wrote their songs in order to set the stage for the war and the Dovahkiin.  For instance, have you noticed that the lyrics for Age of Aggression are different in Windhelm than in an Imperial City?  I just wish they had hired Garmarna or Hedningarna or a similar norse folk band to write the music for Age of Aggression.  it would have been similar to the attention they put into the voice acting.

    What is 'Norse Music'?

I mean, I like a few bands from Sweden and Norway, but they don't sound anything like the bands you link to. (That reminds me, I need to start a forum topic on music!)  It's a bit like if someone says that a game should have 'British' music. What do they mean? Traditional folk? Merseybeat? Madrigals? Britpop? Renaissance music? Early Choral music? They could all make a claim to be quintessentially British.

I do agree that they should have made a bit more effort with the Bardic singing, more variety would have helped for a start.

Yeah it would've sounded a lot cooler.

The Age of Aggression is better than Age of Oppression, at least.

And Age of Aggression makes my hatred of Ulfric Stoarmcloak even more fiery.

Sorry.  That is a good point.  I refer to the norse folk music of which I am aware. Most of the bands I listen to of that genre are a mix of folk music and modern rock or electronica.  Some are more traditional.  It's like if someone said "Irish music" they would be referring to celtic folk.

But if you listen to the same song played in the inn in Windhelm, Ulfric is the hero, and the Empire  is the aggressor.
