So, I've been playing this Altmer character, Kael. He has an adopted son, Alesan, who he leaves in the care of Ogol, his steward and trusted friend, and Rayya, his housecarl, at his home, Lakeview Manor. Kael travels around Skyrim with a few close friends, Erandur, who he treats like a father, (Alesan even calls Erandur "Grandda") and Kharjo.

However, Kael is starting to feel a bit lonely. He longs to be married, and to have a more proper family. But there aren't many Altmer in Skyrim who are looking to be married. Kael isn't good with words (no Speech perks) so his attempts to court Taarie have failed. So he began to look elsewhere, but to no avail.

Kael needs your help. He needs a wife, but not a lot of people in Skyrim can bring themselves to love an Altmer. Who should he marry? Who would accept him?

He just needs a mom, right? Go with Borgakh the Steel Heart.

Maybe I should have been more specific. He has nothing against them, but Kael isn't attracted to Orcs. He does however like humans and elves.

Avrusa Sarethi? She was very close with Sinderion, who was an Altmer.
Brelyna Maryon? Works with Altmer at the College.
    Dravynea Stoneweaver?
One of the ladies at the Temple of Dibella?

Could marry Senna. She is rather cute, and it is funny that you would have a history with her from the A Night to Remember quest.

What about Lydia or the other housecarls? They are sworn to protect you and attraction between each other is bound to happen when traveling with each other for a long time

That is marrying below your station, Bryn. It's a no-no.

True love has no station, the richest noble could marry the poorest pauper as long as they are happy together

I actually prefer that my spouse is not a follower, if that makes any sense.

    Agreed.

Makes sense to me. Unequal power differential, monetary compensation really mess with the ability to have a successful relationship.

Well you could marry Senna... I personally hate marrying non-followers, I like my spouses to stay near me cause I don't want them to just stay in my house doing nothing waiting for them to come back...

Well, they're taking care of the children.

    That's why I have a housecarl if I adopt...

Well I'm more likely to take the housecarl out adventuring than the wife.

I'd hate to have my wife wait months hoping that her husband didn't die or was being tortured or was eaten or is with some other woman who can't be trusted... Which is why I have her explore with me, and why I don't adopt until I'm about to end that character

I make a point to come home once every 2-3 days for RP reasons and to bring presents to the kids.

    I know the answer, bro.

    POLYGAMY

Why pick just one when you can pick them all?

My characters tend to bring danger in a regular basis or are terrible at taking care of others, so they tend to not adopt unless they are going to give up adventuring (why risk making these ex-orphans into orphans again?)

Because that isn't an option in skyrim?
