Crossbows for increased stagger. Also playing heavy armor with melee so it fits in nicely. Otherwise just a bound bow for range (flying dragons/outdoors).

Elbows are the best. They come in close, like the fools they are, and "POW!" Elbow to the eye! They go down, and you move on.

Yes. Bound weapons weigh nothing so they attack faster and allow for quicker character movement.

Hahahahahaha I used to be an adventurer like you until I took a barrow in the knee

    Barrow: an elbows arrow

Why would you elbow someone in the knee? That's poor planning, my friend.

I feel like the Bound Bow and Auriel's Bow offer the best of both worlds. Aside from that, if your character has a crafting skill then any bow is viable. My favorite is either the Hunting Bow or the Dwarven Black Bow of Fate.

I tend to play pure archers (meaning I don't sneak shot everyone lol) I tend to like quicker lighter bows. The faster the better

So long as you have a fast firing bow, and the ranger perk you can take down just about anything, bower becomes irrelevant if you can get off 6-7 shots before they reach you, my favorite bow is a (legendary) hunting bow.

I tend to use either nords or redguards. Battle cry comes in handy as an archer for nords redguards adrenaline boost also is useful as stamina is needed for aiming the bow and running and gunning as that is my favorite strategy for an archer. Think of legolas or the green arrow and that is how I like to play. My main is a nord modeled after myself.

Lol the Bower perk is essentially useless. Also, Auriel's Bow fires at the same rate as Zephyr.

Oh yeah! It's purely aesthetic though. The rainbow vision gives me a headache after awhile.

I hate scouts, they just ruin the game for me at higher levels (although I liked to cackle when I one-shotted a draugr death lord). I have a variety of long bows that get main damage from enchanting, so it's quick AND elemental. I mostly used frost since that prevents them from getting near me. and there's also slow poisons
