  okay well my friend and I got into a argument about wether the witches in skyrim are really witches  

   

  okay well I believe that witches can only use magic through words, like the dragon born does but for every magic they use
  e.g. if a witch wanted to throw a fireball they would have to say so ancient words for it to work 

  just wondering if anyone agrees with me or have their own theories ????

  There are witches in Skyrim, but they work the same as mages, eg, having to learn how to use magic to control it. And then there is Hagravens.

  Well I think that what makes a with depends on the lore of the world in the book, movie, or this case game.  In Skyrim I think witches are just mages who focus more on necromancy and dark arts that are unsanctioned by the laws of the land, the mage's organization of the area, or just by the locals who just don't like the idea of a "witch" hanging around.  So I guess it kind of just depends on the situation.

  you can't really make a witch build without it seaming as a mage build
