After seeing this post I was amazed to find out that my Standing Stone in Skyrim matches with my birthday in real life.

A chart connecting each bithsign with it's corresponding month in The Elder Scrolls calander and the real life calander

    Birthsign                TES Month               Real Month

    The Ritual                Morning Star                January

    The Lover                 Sun's Dawn                 February

    The Lord                  First Seed                   March

    The Mage                Rain's Hand                 April

    The Shadow             Second Seed              May

    The Steed                Mid-Year                    June

    The Apprentice         Sun's Height               July

    The Warrior              Last Seed                   August

    The Lady                  Hearth Fire                 September

    The Tower                Frostfall                      October

    The Atronach            Sun's Dusk                 November

    The Thief                  Evening Star               December

    The Serpent                    -                              -

A chart connecting Skyrim days of the week to real life days of the week:

    Skyrim day             Real Day

    Sundas                     Sunday

    Morndas                   Monday

    Tirdas                       Tuesday

    Middas                   Wednesday

    Turdas                     Thursday

    Fredas                       Friday

    Loredas                    Saturday

If I translate my birthday into the game given my current age and game's starting date (17th of Last Seed, 4E201) my Skyrim birthday will be: Fredas, Sun's Dusk 3, 4E178. And I have always chosen The Atronach Stone on all my characters

Does anyone else plays with their matching standing stone?

I get the tower! That is the worst stone ever!

This can't be accurate, as there would need to be an extra month added to our calendars.

I've never used the ritual stone thinking about it.

I got the Lady. I do use that one quite a lot on Vampire characters, helps with the regen

This is largely based on the book The Firnament. This is an excerpt from that book: "When the sun rises near one of the constellations, it is that constellation's season. Each constellation has a Season of approximately one month. The Serpent has no season, for it moves about in the heavens, usually threatening one of the other constellations."

Might be a cool idea to play a build based on your standing stone

Nope.  My birthsign would be The Shadow, and I can't say I've ever used it, even on a stealth character.  I usually use The Lord or Lady stones.  My current character would be quite suitable for The Lady stone, though I tend to imagine she was born in late winter for some reason.

I got the shadow... I only have ever used it on one character. And I am not a stealth type of person at all.

I'm actually enjoying Tower stone. Gives you an ability not to level up Lockpicking, and can be good for RP. You can use it with Aetherial Crown to easily open almost all locks

But I'm a thief lover! It makes lock picking useless!

Lol, how is that remotely useful? Lockpicking levels so slowly it has next to no impact on your character unless you're running Pontys Burglar...

Think of it as you're such a master thief that you doesn't even need lockpicks to pick locks

That's stupid! I like the lock picking mini game in skyrim (fuck the oblivion lock picking system... It is why I almost never did the thieves guild quest line... The lock picking mini game was horrible!!!!)

Our year has 13 months (moons) - we just messed it up with our calender system.

    moon + th = moonth = month.)

Why June? I would've preferred May myself

I don't think it was so much messed up as it was an intense desire to avoid having 13 months.  Then, it would be possible to have one severely unlucky day each century when you hit 13-13-13.  Which would be awesome.

Thanks Ben! That's exactly the reason why I like this stone, because most of my characters are glass cannons
