If you do get ESO, what race would you like to be?

Straight up Nord...no other race will get half as much attention from me as the Nords. EVER.

I will probably play a High Elf or an Argonian. The magic in the game looks pretty cool.

I will likely be a Breton heavy tank healer/battlemage.

Dunmer Spellsword or Battlemage it is for me. Not my usuall style but I haven't played this type of character yet with a Dunmer even though they're made for it.

I'm leaning towards either a Altmer spellsword, Nord shouty character (assuming there's a shouty class), or some kind of 'leader' class. The Captain class in LOTRO has been my favourite MMO class by far - he's a strong buffer, can off-heal, has some handy debuffs, and can still hold his own in a melee fight (another friend I met through my guild playing a Captain and I blitzed through many of the duo quests )

I think I have decided on Redguard myself. Sword and shield "knight" style with some magic for healing and buffing. Sort of going for the Eastern, Alik'r desert paladin type.

All of them eventually.  I will start with khajiit - perhaps I will not.

For me I'll probably run two characters from the start. One will be a heavy Orc warrior, and the other some kind of Khajiit.

I'm really leaning toward Khajiit. I want to see how the ESO team depicts that area of the map.

I'll start off with a Redguard either light armored healer, or similar to Henson's Alik'r paladin.

The only thing I hate about choosing a race is that you are faction locked. You should be able to pick a race and the pick the faction you are in. (Ebonheart Pact, Daggerfall Covenant, or the Aldmeri Dominion.)

I did hear you didn't have to get involved in alliances straight away, so maybe we can explore Tamriel before joining the war.

I have really wanted to Explore the Summersert Isles and High Rock as a member of the Ebonheart Pact, so if that is true, Yeah!

I'm torn between a few choices but depending on how stealth is in the game, Breton Theif/assasin, or nightblade.

Yeah, I'm either going to be an Argonian assassin, Dunmer Nightblade, or a High Elven Mage/Battle Mage.

The closest thing I could get to my main (Not Wellin, but an Imperial-Breton called Ligatius) is his something great grandfather, who was a Breton and a skilled assassin that worked for a not well known but dangerous assassin's guild.

I will start with an imperial or nord.

Imperials aren't playable, they're working with the King of Worms in the game (Ugh, a Altmer...Disgraceful)

Of course I'll start with A Dunmer... I mean... Dunmer. No need for more explanation.

    Argonian rouge or Dunmer mage.

    Most likely Argonian.

Probably An Argonian, because it was the first race I ever played, and because they make freakin camps underwater! tell me that isn't awesome.

Going with a Bosmer nightblad, spellsword kind of guy. Might also go with an Altmer/Breton preistish guy.
