Necromancy : can you equip your undead minions?

    Hi all!

    I need your help on this! I'm kinda new to Élder Scrolls and I'm trying a necromancer type of mage for the first time. I'm still at a low level and was wondering if their was any way to give equipment to your undead followers. I currently use raise dead (I'm only lvl 5!) and I noticed that my undead minions just doesnt use any weapon. I tried giving them swords and the like but to no avail.

    Is it impossible? To you have to get permanent thrall to give them equipment?

    Yeah its a tricky business...

    What Ben said is true; you have to re-equip some bodies for the best result (unless they are standing next to their weapon during combat when initally raised). Dead Thralls can be equipped with modified equipment (smithed/enchanted) as long as it was originally their personal weaponry/armor...
