Well, Dieter, you are supposed to do your OWN work at college. That is what college is for, duh. :P

I use facebook scarcely myself. But I do have to use it to get pics and stuff. Also I have a lot of artist, musician, gallery owners etc. from all over the world and I have to be able to talk to them all. If you had my job you would throw your phone out too, trust me. Being a mentoring manager is about like being a parent except I can't send these people to their rooms when they suck.

My sister is getting married this weekend. I'll be mostly away during this week and into the next. I may or may not publish the next installment of Breton Farm girl before Saturday. Otherwise, see you all in September.

Lol, we weren't in those kind of parts, and I find it funny that you're warning me about snakes when I live in Texas  We did see a shark on a huge pier at the beach though.

We where right by Pensacola, on Navarre Beach. We left for 3 days and the hurricane ended up not actually hitting where we where at all, so we stayed another day at a hotel.

Anyway yeah, Back and I shall be catching up tomorrow... Gotta catch up with the talk over at the Pub and all the other discussions.

Finally back home from my sister's wedding. This wedding was 10 years in the making.

    1. Over a 150 guests.

    2. Ceremony was under the Pavilion at the Palace of Fine Arts

    3. Reception was in one of the Civic Center lobbies right behind the Pavilion

    4. Six bridesmaids and six bestmen

    5. Family we hadn't seen or talked to in years was seen with great joy.

    6. I was tasked with setting up the reception tables, making some signs and dealing with 6 high school kids that absolutely LOVE my sister. Great kids. They helped tremendously.

    7. The wedding was themed for the 30's and 40's and also superheroes. (All the boys changed into super hero t-shirts for post ceremony wedding shots. Groom was Batman > Big fan of batman. I was Daredevil.

    8. My mom dressed up in a traditional Korean Hanbok. All the ladies got a real kick out of that.

    9. We all pitched in to set up and breakdown the proceedings. I'm exhausted.

    10. All the single ladies lost a good one. REALLY good one. He's now my brother in law.

PRICELESS: I got to walk both my girls down the aisle. Escorted my mom to her seat and then went back around to walk my sister down the aisle. We walked to a 4 string quartet arrangement of a Hayao Miyazaki song from the movie Totoro. She is a big fan of his work and Totoro.

I'm so bursting with pride right now, I'm tearing up as I write this. But, since there are "No Pics", obviously, "It didn't happen"

Her one and only brother got her into Hayao Miyazaki's works.

Now I just need to figure out how I'm going to get through the next section of my story. I'm having a Yikes chapter.

How could I forget! My sister was surprised with a group of Japanese Taiko Drummers who provided her, all the guests and every pedestrian within 200 yards with a fantastic 15 minute Taiko Drum performance after we walked out from under the dome but before we entered the lobby into the reception area.

Not a total surprise as it was discussed and discarded by the bride and groom during the early stages of the wedding planning but it really made an impact!

Wow, that sounds absolutely amazing, Eviltrain!  I am glad to hear everything went off so well...reading your descriptions made me smile and very happy that it was such a lovely and joyous celebration!  Ten years in the making?  Sounds like a huge love story there!

Gah, your loyal readers will wait patiently for your next installment so take your time...I certainly would not be able to get into the "Skyrim mood" after a weekend like that!

Glad you had a chance to get away..one of the perks of being homeschooled, right?  You can head to Florida and beat the crowds after everyone is in school!
