To Be a Boy Again

  • To Be A Boy Again

    Rude and sordid ploys,

    Separate the men from boys.

Men kill men for a single septim,

And boys will merely take them.

Men will lop off heads so grim,

    Boys will merely shake them.

Men will chop men limb from limb,

    Boys will merely break them.

A man may walk upon a road,

On his way to the target or victim.

A boy will walk upon the same road,

Enjoying the flowers, and pick them.

Oh to be a boy again,

    Oh to see those sights,

A world so empty of violent men,

    Void of archaic frights.

    I, a man,

    Have killed many men,

    I, a boy,

    Met many more.

Oh to be again be a boy

And fall victim to no ploy.
