Rangers of the North: Part four ~ 5th of Morning Star, 4E 127

  • 'There's a bunch of strange mages hanging around whiterun, they say there here on a research trip, I don't believe a word of it though' said the Barmaid, responding to Ulfrin.

'Thank you' Ulfrin replied, smiling as he put a septim into the barmaids hand.

He pulled his hood back on and walked out of the tavern, and as he went to go into the general store where Betholir was, a group of people entered the gates. Each was dressed in dark blue and red robes, with their faces covered by their hoods, and upon their sides rested swords wrought of Elven steel. As they neared, Ulfrin saw that each wore Armour underneath their robes.

'Well, it's safe to say their Umalia, is it not' said Betholir, coming up to Ulfrin with a troubled expression on his face.

'Yes, we should follow them, we need to know what we are dealing with' replied Ulfrin, an equally troubled expression passed his face.

'Come on, we will shadow them from above' Betholir said, moving into the shadows.

'The Mage... was one of our best assets, who killed him?' said the Leader of the group of Umalia, who had stayed in the camp whilst their group had investigated the Court Mage's death.

'Not yet Master, but it seems to be a Ranger' replied one of the Umalia who the Duo had been following.

'Damn, the Rangers could be onto us' the lead Umalia slammed his fist into the closest tree, 'what does our spy report?'

'They are still as clueless as ever, otherwise he would have told us' replied the other Umalia.

'We have to tell the Head-Ranger about this at once' Whispered Ulfrin to Betholir.
