I Shout

  •

    I shout.

I shout and the world does listen.

I open my mouth to release

    Power unending, constrained

Only by the Way of the Voice.

A Tongue shriller than all the music calls me.

    Honour demands it of me

To keep my tongue, match the Tongue

    I was taught as Greybeard.

I shall not heed the wars of man.

I shall not answer conflict’s call.

I do not speak, I dare not speak.

I shout and the world does listen.

Very nice one. I think Way of the Voice lends nicely to writing poems, not so much to reciting them. Does it? :)

That's a really nice interpretation of the Way of the Voice.  I like that.
