When Gods Walked The Earth

  • Prologue

I looked upon the world at hand, and I began to see. Not with my eyes, mind you. Those didn't exist yet. I saw with my understanding. My place in this world. I knew there was more than what is in front of us, and that there was time before this. I immediately started to know and then... I stopped. It wasn't right, leaving behind everyone. So I stopped, and created the concept of what I saw as "The Tower". Through meditation one could see the Tower, the truth of all of existence, and know that we are all dreams and imaginings of the being I have taken to call the Godhead. When one tries to see the Tower, two things may happen; they will either "zero-sum" (cease to exist) or achieve CHIM. I got set to work.

I gathered all the et'Ada and told them we're going to build a "planet". Those that did not help simply stood aside. Those that did got set to work. Eventually the task was complete, but not without cost. The et'Ada were drained of all their power. The architect of this plan, Magnus fled, cursing my name and told everyone of my perceived treachery. He then left, cutting a hole in the fabric of Aurbis, with the Magna-Ge following behind, creating the sun and stars in the process. The holes lead to Aetherius, the source of  all magicka in Aurbis.

The weakest of et'Ada were sundered unto the new world, and became mortals. The others, Akatosh, Triminac and the rest of the lot were drained of energy, and before their bodies became the heavenly bodies (no pun intended) that float in the Spheriphem of the Aurbis, they stood at the Adamant Tower, tore my heart out, tied it to an arrow, and shot it across what would be called Tamriel. Where it landed became "Red Mountain". My body became Masser and Secunda. The et'Ada that did not help became the Daedra ("Not our ancestors" as the mortals known as "elves" called them, believing us to be their ancestors, or "Aedra"). The Aedra now sleep in their planetary bodies influencing the world through things like blessings and protections against the Daedra. Until now...

I like it! Quite smooth. Don't forget to create a Table of Contents for yourself (as a discussion in the Story Corner). Here's a helpful guide: http://theskyrimblog.ning.com/group/the-backstory-corner/forum/topics/getting-started-in-the-story-corner
