A Song

  • In ages passed

    the snows did fall

    and with them came trouble

    and terror and war.

    Kin fought kin

    and battle did call

    for blood to be spilled

    against the shield-wall.

    Until the last

    our brothers stood tall

    with axes held ready

    and bowstrings held drawn.

    Courage and valour

    to die by the blade

    we honour our kinsmen

for the life that they gave.
