Chapter 2: Storm's Tears
Entry 16.

Kodlak is dead. Slain by the Silverhand before he could be cured. Not only did they dare to kill our Harbinger, they also stole what few pieces of Wuuthrad we had found.

Vilkas and I tracked them to a ruined keep in the Pale and we slaughtered them. As we waded through them I almost gave into the curse that was placed upon me when I joined the Circle, the only thing that stopped me where my thoughts of Sovngarde.

When we returned from our vengeance I handed the fragments of Wuuthrad we had reclaimed from the Silverhand’s lair, to Eorlund before meeting with the rest of the Circle to plan our next move. What I found was Aela arguing with Vilkas about whether Kodlak could still be cured while Farkas watched on. Before they had the chance to drag me into their dispute I left to retrieve something from Frost’s saddlebag.

They both fell silent as I walked towards them carrying a blooding sack, which I upturned at their feet revealing the severed heads of the hagravens that had placed the curse centuries ago. With their attention still on the heads, I told them of Kodlak’s plan and as I finished Eorlund entered the room carrying a mighty battle axe.

He had restored Wuuthrad and with it our way to cure Kodlak.

I now stand before the statue of Ysgramor that marks the entrance to his tomb. All I must do to open the way is return his axe to its place in the statue’s hands. If this works then we should be able to cure Kodlak and let him find his way to Sovngarde. Hopefully I will also be granted the same rewards once all this is over.

Golden Fool It may take a few centuries and the destruction of the world, but it will sort itself out eventually. Look at it this way, if there's no world then there's no way for the dragons to be causing problems for the people living there, because they don't exist.
