Golden Fool
I remember doing this quest. Was she effectively enchanting the factotum with person's mind as the effect? Because if that is the case imagine what it would be like for the souls we use to enchant weapons and armour in the single player games...

It sets up Asylum Sanctorium nicely as this is the same process Saints Olms, Felms, and Llothis underwent, a process which drove them mad over time just like Bolin. It's possible the same process perfected (?) is the final fate of Sotha Nal. Bolin went mad because he couldn't feel, couldn't breath. Just a mind in an metal box. It's definitely one interpretation of enchanting for sure.

Golden FoolIt would probably be worse for items we've enchanted to have other effects, since the soul would not be able to interact with the world at all.

I certainly wouldn't say that the process has been perfected with Nall, since the factotums have no memory of her past other then the occasionally mention of the destruction of Ald Sotha which results in them being recalled.

My interpretation of Seht as portrayed in ESO is that he is a mer devasted by grief. The only survivor and rescued by Vivec, Sil has this deep and abiding hatred of Daedra. His grief is such that he finds it hard to let go of his sister -"A soul that deserved transcendence. May her song be heard in the hiss of every piston and the sigh of every spring." I think that while the likes of the Saints were in one body, Nall is like the mainframe of all factotums. or even the force powering the city itself. The Saints, everything that came before, were just early attempts until he was sure he could do it. " This City serves a noble goal. The redemption of Tamriel. The unification of competing forces. The destruction of the Daedra. Unfortunately, it is an endeavor built upon a lattice of corpses. Betrayal. Untold horrors.Do you understand?" less
