Hello folks, Ponty here. Everything past this dashed line below is a work of pure satire - this is an example of what NOT to do in a build. Enjoy!

I've also created another HD iteration of the build which you can view here.

    -------------------------------------------------------

hey guys this is my first build so I hope im doing this right, i really wanted to bring my idea to you guys its pretty unique and I reckon it could get to category 80 (silly name lol) don't forget to like and leave feedback (no hate pls)

    the Paladin of molag bal

when you were a young nord living in cyrodiil your mother was killed by vampires in the night in front of you. a few years later your father was taken by thalmor and killed in the town square. with both your parents dead you set off to skyrim to avenge them, but were caught crossing the border by the imperial dogs. when you got to Skyrim you discovered the true power of vampires and decided to use them for yourself

    name: trevor deathhand

race: Breton vampire lord, bretons are the best race hands down

    stats: all health

stone: atronach, makes you invincible to magic

    Skills

im basinng my build off what a real paladin should be, paladins use maces and not shields. the paladin build is completely wrong, how did it get 200 likes

onehanded: You use two maces for maximum damage

archery: sneak archery is really strong so why not use it all the time

heavy armor: daedric is cool and has the best armor rating, I use it on all my characters. mnasons paladin uses weak armor, nerfing how strong he can be

    sneak: gotta use sneak archery

restoration: your a vampire so you have to get necromage to make yourself really strong, sometimes you need to heal too

conjuration: twin souls dremora lords make your team really strong, its so fun being able to go through an entire dungeon without any challenge

smtihing and enchanting: you want to make your gera as overpowered as possible so you can oneshot most enemies

look at this bandit stands no chance

gameplay: stick to the shadows and shoot as many people as possible before charging in with dual maces. if you somehow get to low health (you suck lol) pull out a healing spell or two. since you have smithing and enchanting you dont need to use vampire lord

for your equipment just extra effect enchant everything for maximum health and damage

make sure you get some magicka and spellcost reduction so you can use all your spells

put chaos damage and absorb health on your maces

dont bother with stamina though since you can just use veg soup for infinite power attacks

when roleplaying this character always kill thalmor and imperials, make sure you join the stormcloaks

you can join whatever factions you want you pretty much fit in with all of them

when fighting dawnguards turn into a vampire lord so you can drain their blood

    special moves

    shout of death

use marked for death repeatedly to give enemies really bad armor rating so you do tons of damage

    shadow strike

shoot someone from stealth with your bow and then emerge and hit them with your mace

    fus ro smash

knock an enemy over the rape him with your dual maces

    BUILD VIDEO!

i noticed most of the popular builds have videos on them by ponty or that tz guy, i decided to make my own to show the powerful fus ro smash move

thanks for reading guys i hope you like my build dont forget to thumbs up and give feedback

So let's do a quick analysis of what went wrong here. Starting from the top!

    1. Bad spelling and grammar. It's an instant turnoff for me and I'm sure many other people.
    2. Using 'text talk' like lol, pls, stuff like that.
    3. Emoticons. Avoid using them in your builds (especially in the quantity I have).
    4. The 'no hate pls' is a bad idea. If you don't want to accept constructive criticism you'll never be able to make a good build.
    5. FUCKING COMIC SANS. Please just stick with a normal font, for the good of us all
    6. 'Screenshots' being pictures taken of my monitor using my 7 year old phone.
    7. Rainbow text. Makes it difficult and annoying to read.
    8. Off-colored text. See above.
    9. Ridiculous backstory. Don't think I need to explain that one.
    10. Our first inconsistency - in the backstory I wrote I was a Nord but in race I list Breton Vampire Lord (for power reasons, of course)
    11. More emoticons
    12. Bad formatting and all rainbow text. The entire Skills section is bold. The reasoning for each skill tells us what skills are for, but not how they work together.
    13. Incorrectly mentioning other peoples builds. The amount of time I've seen Henson, Emer and TZ mixed up...
    14. Another terrible image with a terrible caption
    15. Minimal gameplay section, if I started playing this build I'd be making it up as I go along rather than following the lack of combat style tips from where
    16. The perk spread is rife with spelling mistake, and the Restoration title is missing. It's also for a level 80 character, meaning at lower levels you have no idea what to do first.
    17. Minimal gear section, with another stupid emoticon. Colored text again makes some of it hard to read.
    18. Obvious HUD in the middle of the photo.
    19. Minimal and stupid roleplay.
    20. Rubbishy special moves. Special moves should be something special, not something that any old sod can pull off.
    21. Cyan text and terrible video...
    22. Big excessively formatted text with lots of emoticons. 'dont forget to thumbs up' implies that everyone would have thought it was good!
    23. Very loud auto-play music that goes for almost 4 minutes and can't be paused/stopped. I know on some of Mason's builds he does something similar but the music isn't nearly a) as annoying and b) as long

I haven't read it recently, but that was the first build from the site that I ever played, and I loved it.  I think it was the build that convinced me to join the group, just so I could give it a +1.

Did you read the incoherent comments on the video? "Skyforge Steel sword only effective against undead" Edit: Matt beat me to it =P

Oh good god! They are stupid!

What. WHAT!!!  Where the heck did they get that idea?

Makes you think people only aim for/use Daedric weapons/artifacts and toss the rest. Wears Shrouded armor and smiths Dardric. But a Bandit Chief one-shots them! (I hate Bandit chiefs on my light armor users!)

Ponty, you should actually try to make a Paladin of Molag Bal build, my head nearly exploded thinking of what awesome stuff you could have done with this theme. I love the mace, but I hate how its green glow looks with Daedric armor...anyway, +1 for an awesome build! :P

Paladin and Molag Bal are contradictory. You can't actually make a paladin of Molag Bal :P
  • April 1, 2013
Paladin: A knight renowned for heroism and chivalry. Typically associated as a bringer of justice.

Molag Bal: daedric prince of rape and domination

The two don't mix... I think you are looking for a blackguard, and we already have a build called that...

Yeah that was part of the joke
