    Character Build Ranks

To keep builds nice and organized in the Character Building Group, we use a rank system in addition to the official tags (see here). The rank of a build is based upon the number of 'likes' the build has. Builds are required to have a rank tag that corresponds to their number of likes. There are 5 ranks:

Bloodworks, the lowest rank, is for new or sub-par builds. Builds in the Bloodworks have less than 20 likes. The weekly Character Build Deathmatch has the participants drawn from the older builds in the Bloodworks. The purpose of the deathmatch is to reduce the number of builds in the Bloodworks, with some being promoted and the rest deleted.

Recognized, the second rank, is for builds that have made it out of the Bloodworks. These builds have proven themselves by passing through the Bloodworks and are worth a look.

Exemplar, the third rank, is for quality builds that have been well-accepted by the community and have received above 40 likes. Exemplar rank and above is a good place to look if you're after inspiration for your own build!

Mythic, the fourth rank, is for high quality builds that have received more than 70 likes. These builds are excellent examples of what the CB group is all about.

Legendary, the fifth and final rank, is for builds above 100 likes. Aside from the Hall of Fame, this is where the best the group has to offer can be found.

    About the Ranks

The best part about this tagging system is you don't have to wait for a Host do rank up your build - you can simply add the appropriate rank tag (or change the existing one) to your build and it will automatically be listed. We will be watching for people that use tags for a higher rank than their build actually is; there will be consequences for such misconduct. If there's an old build the author no longer supports that needs to be ranked up, add a comment on the build with the rank it should be in.

To add a tag to your build, simply click the Options button on the top-right corner of the discussion page, and add a tag like so (ignore the link):

    Rank:Bloodworks

Obviously you change Bloodworks to whatever rank your build currently is, e.g. Rank:Recognized (ignore the link), as it rises through the ranks.

    Event Build Ranks

Event builds are unique in that they get their own ranking system. You can learn more about Character Building Events here. The event rank tags are as follows:

    Event Bloodworks (0-9 likes)

    Event Recognized (10-24 likes)

    Event Exemplar (25-39 likes)

    Event Mythic (40-64 likes)

    Event Legendary (65+ likes)

Note that the amount of likes required for each rank is different for event builds than it is for regular builds. Furthermore, to add a rank tag to your event build, it is done as follows (ignore the link):

    Rank:Event Bloodworks

As with regular rank tags you change Bloodworks to whatever rank your build currently is, e.g. Rank:Event Recognized (ignore the link), as it rises through the ranks.
