    Contest Build: “The Imga Marukhati”

    Lore and Backstory

"To sleep, to dream, of Tamriel

    Unsullied by Anui-El.

    Man-ape, tell us.

    Maruhk, guide us.

What child of Man could fail to be

In bliss if Nirn were Elven-free?

    Man-ape, tell us.

    Maruhk, guide us.

We willing march to heed your call,

    Devoted, pious, one and all.

    Man-ape, tell us.

    Maruhk, guide us.

    Your mandates we embrace."

    -        The Archimonk's Dream

Marukh was the first of the Alessian Order, a popular monotheistic religion of the first era. An Imga from Valenwood, he despised the elves, unlike his brethren who grovelled before and attempted to mimic their Aldmeri overlords. Marukh, however saw the elven way as a corruption of the true path. Wherever they went they attempted to convert by naming other’s gods as versions of their own making Akatosh simply an image of their God Auriel, just as the Nords often did with their dragon god Alduin. Marukh created the Allesian order to combat this. Akatosh was the only God to him. After his death, the Allesian Order gave rise to a group known as the Marukhati Selective, a group dedicated to removing Aldmeri influence from the worlds of men and beastfolk.

You are the only member Marukhati Selective in, and (as far as you know) the only Imga in both Skyrim and Solstheim. You have just returned from a pilgrimage to Cyrodil to visit the chapel to Akatosh in Kvatch, but were captured at the Skyrim border on your way back to Solstheim where you planned to resume spying on the actions of the Telvanni mages and the other dark elves. Having had your Skaal equipment stolen from you by the Imperials, a group you have sworn fealty to, and being mistaken for an orc, you are brought to the execution block for suspected association with the Stormcloaks. Seconds before your execution a dragon attacks and panics the guards, preventing the execution. At first you are rejoiced that Akatosh, in his magnificent dragon form, has rescued you. Eventually you learn that this was not Akatosh, but Alduin, the Pretender. As false an image of the God of Time as Auriel. You manage to escape the town of Helgen with the help of the Imperials. After seeking assistance from the Riverwood blacksmith, you report to the Jarl of Whiterun in hope of assisting with the destruction of the Dragons. You soon learn that you are Akatosh’s chosen, the Dragonborn. This leads you upon a magnificent quest allowing you to defeat Alduin the Pretender as well as plenty of elves along the way. From there you also join the Imperial legion to aid in the defeat of the Stormcloaks, who rebel against the empire your order aided in creating. You also assist in anyway you can by defeating vampires with the Dawnguard and taking out assassins and thieves. Eventually you travel back to Solstheim and purchase property there to set up base of operations and re-establish connections with the Skaal and their secret attempts to expel the Dunmer from Solstheim. While here you have to opportunity to dispose of the anti-Dragonborn, the false prophet Miraak.

    Gameplay

Name: No Imga names are known besides Marukh so just go for something that sounds right. I named mine Darukh, thinking maybe having a similar name to Marukh honours him somehow. I don’t believe that they use last names.

    -        You are a warrior, but remember you are also a priest and a missionary

    -        You are an agent from Port Telvannis in Morrowind, last base of the Marukhati Selctive, but no one can know that

    -        Do not eat meat, the Alessians are religious vegetarians and Imga only rarely eat meat as is

    -        Do not use magic, you may use enchanted objects but may not enchant them yourself

    -        Do not act friendly towards or work for mer, daedra, vampires, werewolves, or magic users

    -        Take any and all opportunities to kill elves, daedra, vampires, werewolves, and mages without breaking the law

    -        Collect books and artifacts, unless they are elven

    -        The first of the second seed is a very important date on which you must be solemn.

    -        You fight for the Empire, for your prophet, Marukh, helped to create it

    -        There is only Akatosh the one true God. Auriel and Alduin are but false images of his greatness. You recognize the other divines only as saints or spirits

    -        You live to remove Elven influence

    -        Orcs may think you are one of them, this is insulting and unacceptable. Do not enter their strongholds unless it is to smite them as you would any elf

    -        All are guilty until proven innocent

    -        Spiritual and Political matters are one and the same to you

This is actually extremely impressive. Not only is the background at least within the realm of logic, assuming an Imga would be found roaming northern Tamriel, but the build is just of an overall quality that I feel is often lacking. Props my friend.

Thanks, I really appreciate that seeing as this is my first published build. I'm hoping to do a few more playthroughs and add some more to the backstory soon.

I will certainly have to try this build at some point. Also, research Xal, the supposed Selective rumored to be operating out of Port Telvannis.

Hello and this is pretty good. Adding some photos throughout will help it look better, and the perk spread has issues. Cut the perks down to 50 or 60. no one is going to play this build that high. It is pretty good to start though.

Ok, I was having trouble pasting pictures but will ptobably do so later. The level 75 spread wasn't really serious, I just sort of put it up for alternative perk ideas and directions.

It's a good starting concept. Need to spice up your presentation a bit.

Thanks, had to rush a lot of it. Will probably release an updated, more detailed version later after a few more playthroughs.
