Welcome one and all to the very first Skyrim Blog Character Building contest! This is an opportunity to pit your building prowess against the other members of the group, by making a build over the course of 1 month around a given theme:
The Mythic Dawn
There's no limit on the skills or equipment you can use, but it must be based around playing as someone with ties to the Mythic Dawn cult (such as a current or former member, or sworn enemy), which many of you will remember from Oblivion (read more about the Mythic Dawn here). You can work in teams of up to 3 other members, either from Character Building or even another group - I strongly recommend teaming up with people from Art, Lore and Roleplaying if you want to create something truly great! Once the competition closes, a panel of me and 4 others (see below) will judge each submitted build and announce the winner! Here are the prizes:
First Place - Gold
- A build video done by me for either the submitted build or another build of the winners' choice
- Screenshots done by me for either the submitted build or another build of the winners' choice
- Input into the theme of the next contest
- Exclusive access to the judging panel of the next contest (only if not participating in said contest)
- "Contest Gold" tag for the submitted build!
Second Place - Silver
- Screenshots done by me for either the submitted build or another build of the winners' choice
- Input into the theme of the next contest
- "Contest Silver" tag for the submitted build!
Third Place - Bronze
- Input into the theme of the next contest
- "Contest Bronze" tag for the submitted build!
So here are the rules/guidelines:
- You may work on your own or in a team of up to 3 others. You can come up with a team name if you like!
- Teams must register on this thread before the end of June. Registrations are now closed.
- Build submissions are now closed. Submissions will no longer be counted!
- Starting in July each group may send me something via PM they want feedback on from their build. Each member of the panel will give some advice to improve it. You may only do this ONCE. (If you need to add me, make sure you say it is for contest feedback). Since the submissions are closed, you can no longer do this either!
- Submitted builds must include a "Contest1" tag so I can find them
- Winners will be announced on the 23rd of July!
